LeachLAN 3 – Is Over :(

LeachLAN 3 may be over, but we’re back next year… stronger… faster… better… longer! We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came to LeachLAN 3, we hope you enjoyed it! Tell us what you did like… or what you didn’t in our LeachLAN 3 feedback thread. Any feedback is greatly received, so we can make changes to at future events.

This weekend couldn’t have happened without you, the participants, who made this event your own. Nor could it it have happened without our sponsors, Antec, Crucial, INX-Gaming, Patriot Memory, Steelseries and Thermaltake.

We hope that you enjoyed LeachLAN 3 as much as we did in putting it on and hope to see you again at a LeachLAN 4, which kicks off at a new time of 6PM Thursday 25th March, and ends at 6PM Sunday 28th March 2010. Bookings are now open at a discounted price of £35 until 1st November! So head over to booking area of our website to get your space now!

Further information regarding LeachLAN 4 will be online within the next few days, but rest assured it will once again be filled with a range of social activities such as the Pub Quiz, more retro big games, fun tournaments and a weekend long game of assassination with a difference!

LeachLAN 3 – Final Seating Plan

With mere hours to go until LeachLAN 3, we present the final revision of the seating plan. Please check where you are seated, as it will help you find your seat when you arrive. Due to the short amount of time before the event, it is now not possible to make any more changes.

LeachLAN 3 – Food & Drink Information

NOM NOM NOM. It’s LeachLAN 3 food information time!

However, before we get to what food is on offer over the weekend. The bar times need confirmation! The bar will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings between 6PM-11PM. There will also be a lunch time opening on the Friday and Saturday between 12:30PM and 1:30PM. As always the bar will be selling a selection of reasonably priced Ales, Beers, Ciders, Spirits & Wine. And now, to the food! On Friday evening our FREE BBQ will be taking place at approximately 7PM and will be serving a selection of Burgers and Hot Dogs for you all! We however need to know of peoples specific dietary requirements, such as if you are a Vegetarian to be able to cater for you. If you are, please let us know via e-mail to info@swlans.co.uk so we have enough food for you!

On Saturday night we will be organising a large order to a local take away. We still need to confirm which take away we are going to order from, and need your input! Please head over to this poll to let us know which you would prefer. More information regarding this mass order will be available on the event Intranet.

Finally, we will once again be selling a selection of snacks and drinks throughout the weekend at the event front desk. We have now put a stock list and prices online. Further details can be found here .

LeachLAN 3 – Clothing Orders

By popular demand, you can now order your clothing for LeachLAN 3!

T-Shirts cost £15 and Hoodies cost £20 of which come in a range of sizes: S, M, L, XL, XXL.

If you would like to order an item of clothing, please e-mail merchandise@swlans.co.uk with the following details:

- Details of nickname required on the shirt and/or hoodie
- Size
- Quantity

Instructions on how to make your payment will then be sent shortly after we receive your order which will then be marked as confirmed in the forum thread and via e-mail once it has been paid for.

We will happily take provisional orders until 12th August of which is the deadline to pay the amount for your clothing.

LeachLAN 3 – Provisional Event Timetable #2 Posted

There are now just a few mere weeks untill LeachLAN 3, so it is now time for us to fill in the gaps in the event timetable with games!

This means that we have taken the results of the Tournament and Big Game polls and filled in the gaps in the LeachLAN 3 timetable of events! The second revision of the timetable can be viewed by clicking the link below.

LeachLAN 3 – Tournament Signups Open

The results of the Tournament poll is now in, and we have chosen the three tournaments we will be running at LeachLAN 3. Details of the three tournaments we will be running, as well as the rules and signups for them can be found on our forums, or by clicking the links below:

LeachLAN 3 – Provisional Event Timetable, Big Game and Tournaments poll

We like to think you get a great selection of games to play at our events, so the provisional event timetable is now online. As usual it will be completely crammed with big games, tournaments and social activities!

LeachLAN 3 – Pub Quiz!

A while ago, we posted a LeachLAN3 announcement about a new social activity we were introducing…

On the Saturday evening of LeachLAN3, we will be having a pub quiz! This will give you the opportunity to take a break from gaming and chill out with the guys and gals you have been fragging all weekend. Have a good laugh with your mates whilst trying to answer some (if not all) of our cunningly written questions and maybe even have a pint or two?

The pub quiz will be separated into 10 different rounds, each having 10 questions. For those of you who wish to get swotting then details of the rounds are as follows:

Round 1: General Knowledge

Round 2: The year 2009 so far – Questions from each month before LeachLAN 3

Round 3: Sports

Round 4: Screenshots – Match a game with one of the screenshots provided!

Round 5: Game Music – Match a game to the music played

Round 6: Current Affairs

Round 7: Film Trivia

Round 8: Charities

Round 9: What is it? – Close up pictures of everyday objects

Round 10: Game History – All or nothing round. Answer all questions correctly and get 20 points, get one answer wrong and get ZERO

There will be a limit of 5 people per team in the Pub Quiz. You may even get an extra point for the most creative team name! There is no charge either for entering the quiz – so all more the reason for taking part!

What is the prize for the quiz I hear you ask? Unless we get something from our sponsors then you will get the chance to see the moths fly out of Shazz’s previously student based wallet! The winning team will get a free round of drinks courtesy of Shazz! Yes, really!

ProjectorGames Confirm LeachLAN 3 Attendance

As a result of the feedback we have received from LeachLAN 2, we are happy to announce that we have now confirmed that ProjectorGames will be attending LeachLAN 3!

Once again they will be bringing their entire selection of awesome games with them. Not forgetting everyone’s favourite from LeachLAN 2, GoGo Gadget. What on earth will you guys be making this LAN?

Why not just grab a beer, and chill out and have a laugh with your mates in a game of Tanks, or even a game of Bombermatch? They will be located in our social gaming area and will be available for some big screen multiplayer action!
