LeachLAN 5 may be over, but we’ll be back… in a mere 85 days time! We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came to LeachLAN 5, we hope you enjoyed it! Tell us what you did like… or what you didn’t in our LeachLAN 5 feedback thread. Any feedback is greatly received, so we can make changes to at future events.

This weekend couldn’t have happened without you, the participants, who made this event your own. Nor could it it have happened without our sponsors, Crucial, INX-Gaming, and Steelseries. Thank You!

We hope that you enjoyed LeachLAN 5 as much as we did running the event on and hope to see you again at a LeachLAN 6, which kicks off at Thursday 14th October at 6PM and ends at Sunday 17th October.Bookings are now open at a discounted price of £35 until 1st September! Further information regarding LeachLAN 6 will be online within the next few weeks but rest assured it will once again be filled with a range of social activities such as the Pub Quiz, a BBQ, more retro big games, fun tournaments, and possibly a return of pig stacking?

LeachLAN 5 – Final Event Plan!

We’re now mere days from LeachLAN 5, and we think that the time is right for us to finalize what is going to be happening at the event! As a result we have now posted the “final” event plan for all of our organized big games and social activities.

Please be aware this is only a guideline of what may happen at the event, and is subject to change.

Also don’t forget that the the FREE BBQ is on Friday night and we shall be serving a selection of Burgers and Hot Dogs. As well as the bar opening hours being 6-11PM on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday!

LeachLAN 5 – Pub Quiz!

On the Saturday evening of LeachLAN 5, we will be having a pub quiz! This will give you the opportunity to take a break from gaming and chill out with the guys and gals you have been fragging all weekend. Have a good laugh with your mates whilst trying to answer some (if not all) of our cunningly written questions and maybe even have a pint or two?

The pub quiz will be separated into 7 different rounds, each having 10 questions. There will also be a bonus round of 20 one word anagrams. For those of you who wish to get swotting then details of the rounds are as follows:

Round 1: General Knowledge

Round 2: Game History

Round 3: World Cup!

Round 4: Game Screenshots

Round 5: Film Trivia

Round 6: Game Music

Round 7: What is it?

BONUS ROUND: One word Anagrams

There will be a limit of 5 people per team in the Pub Quiz. You may even get an extra point for the most creative team name! There is no charge either for entering the quiz – so all more the reason for taking part!

What is the prize for the quiz I hear you ask? The winning team will get a free round of drinks courtesy of Shazz! Yes, really!

World Cup @ LeachLAN 5?

World cup fever is about to hit the Nation, with the first matches of the 2010 Fifa World Cup beginning in under a weeks time! We’d like to know which games you’d like us to show live during LeachLAN 5!

The Third place play-off and the Final itself will both be on during LeachLAN 5, and we are looking at making arrangements on how to and where to broadcast some games. Please head over to our forums to vote on which games you’d like us to broadcast live!

All games will be shown in the bar, so if you want to grab a pint you’ll be able to! The same goes if you’re not a football fan and want to steer clear of the matches. You’ll still be able to game in the main hall!

Until then, please vote so we have an idea if you watch to watch these games. You can book and confirm your place at LeachLAN 5 booking area of our website.

LeachLAN 5 – Discount Ends Soon!

It is now nearly two months since we opened LeachLAN 5 bookings, which can only mean one thing. Early discount is almost over! You have until the 1st June to book your seats at the discounted price of £40.

Once discount has ended, ticket prices will revert back to the original £50.

LeachLAN 5 – Tournaments Confirmed!

We have chosen the four tournaments we will be running at LeachLAN 5. Details of the three tournaments we will be running, as well as the rules and signups for them can be found on our forums, or by clicking the links below:

Red Alert Tournament
Armagetron 1on1
Unreal Tournament 2004: Instagib Capture The Flag 2v2

And whilst it’s not specifically a tournament, we think the pig stacking competition will get fairly heated!

Once again, there will be a number of prizes up for grabs for the winners of these tournaments! Stay tuned for details of these in the next few days!

LeachLAN 5 – Provisional Event Plan

With the preparations for LeachLAN 5 well under way, we’re now starting to look at what games and activities will be run for you to take part in during the weekend!

We’ve kept the usual suspects such as CS:S Hide & Seek, Pirates Viking & Knights II as well as Zombie Mod! (Get to the Choppah) We’ve also added in a selection of new games for this event, namely TF2 Pyro Dodgeball, Cube 2, GoldenEye: Source, ioquake3 and Multi Theft Auto. Don’t forget, you’ve got an extra days worth of gaming this LAN!
