Please check where you are seated, as it will help you find your seat when you arrive. Due to the short amount of time before the event, it is now not possible to make any major changes.

LeachLAN 6 – Food & Drink Information

It’s LeachLAN 6 food information time!

However, before we get to what food is on offer over the weekend. The bar times need confirmation! The bar will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings between 6PM-11PM. As always the bar will be selling a selection of reasonably priced Ales, Beers, Ciders, Spirits & Wine. Full price information can be found here.

And now, to the food! On Friday afternoon our FREE BBQ will be taking place at approximately 4PM and will be serving a selection of Burgers and Hot Dogs for you all! We however need to know of peoples specific dietary requirements, such as if you are a Vegetarian to be able to cater for you. If you are, please let us know via e-mail to info@swlans.co.uk so we have enough food for you!

On Saturday night we will once again be organizing a large order to a local takeaway at approximately 6PM. Once again we will be putting in a massive order to the Curry house in Burford! Further information regarding this order will be available on the event Intranet.

Finally, we will once again be selling a selection of snacks and drinks throughout the weekend at the event front desk. We have now put a stock list and prices online. Further details can be found here.

We’re now mere days from LeachLAN 6, and we think that the time is right for us to finalize what is going to be happening at the event! As a result we have now posted the “final” event plan for all of our organized big games and social activities.

Please be aware this is only a guideline of what may happen at the event, and is subject to change.

Also don’t forget that the the FREE BBQ is on Friday afternoon and we shall be serving a selection of Burgers and Hot Dogs. As well as the bar opening hours being 6-11PM on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday!

LanWar… At a LAN?

A few LANs ago we talked over the idea of having an “assassination” game during the weekend of one of our LAN’s. Then it all went quiet for a bit… But now, we’re happy to announce that LeachLAN 6 will feature something similar! There will be having a LANWar at LeachLAN 6!

LanWars will be run in the same sort of format as our ideas for assassination! For more information you can check out the LanWar rules page and the about LanWars page on the LanWar website. There is also a handy how to play guide available if you want to know more.

With the preparations for LeachLAN 6 well under way, we’re now starting to look at what games and activities will be run for you to take part in during the weekend!

We’ve kept the usual suspects such as CS:S Hide & Seek, Pirates Viking & Knights II, Team Fortress 2, GoldenEye: Source as well as Zombie Mod! (Get to the Choppah). Plus, we’ve got something new and exciting happening this event, LANWars! More details on this will be appearing in the next few days, so watch this space!

LeachLAN 6 – Pub Quiz!

On the Saturday evening of LeachLAN 6, we will be having a pub quiz! This will give you the opportunity to take a break from gaming and chill out with the guys and gals you have been fragging all weekend. Have a good laugh with your mates whilst trying to answer some (if not all) of our cunningly written questions and maybe even have a pint or two?

The pub quiz will be separated into 7 different round, five rounds each containing 10 questions and then two bonus rounds. With more game related questions than ever before! For those of you who wish to get swotting then details of the rounds are as follows:

Round 1: General Knowledge

Round 2: Game History

Round 3: Game Music

Round 4: BONUS ROUND 1: Name that Game!

Round 5: Film Trivia

Round 6: Game Screenshots

Round 7: BONUS ROUND 2: Who are they?

There will be a limit of 4 people per team in the Pub Quiz. You may even get an extra point for the most creative team name! There is no charge either for entering the quiz – so all more the reason for taking part!

What is the prize for the quiz I hear you ask? The winning team will get a free round of drinks courtesy of Shazz! Yes, really!

LeachLAN 6 – Bring A Newb For A Fiver!

Back by popular request, you are now able to “bring a newb for a fiver” to LeachLAN 6!

This promotion will work the same way as it did at LeachLAN 5, where anyone who is currently fully booked and paid for LeachLAN 6 can invite a friend who hasn’t been to one of our LeachLAN events, to LeachLAN 6. For just £5 each!

There are only 10 newb spaces for LeachLAN 6, and these are limited to one newb per person. And when they’re gone. They’re gone! These

Has this got the gaming juices flowing for you and your friends? Then, there are three quick steps that you need to complete to get gaming!

Step 1) Get your friend to signup to our booking system at the booking area of our website
Step 2) Drop us an email on behalf of them billing@swlans.co.uk to let us know they’re booking, and they’re coming with you!
Step 3) Get them to signup for LeachLAN6 as a BACs booking and send us £5 via bank transfer.

LeachLAN 6 – Bookings Now Open

Sadly, we’re coming to the end of LeachLAN 5, but we’ve all had a great laugh, and will be back in October! Without further ado we can confirm that bookings for LeachLAN 6 are now open!

The dates for LeachLAN 6 are 6PM Thursday 14th October to 6PM 17th October. Bookings for LeachLAN 6 can be made using our online booking system. Book before 1st September to get a £5 discount, meaning a BYOC ticket is now £35 instead the normal £40!

LeachLAN 6 will feature the following:
Our famous FREE BBQ, now in its sixth event!
Our awesome Social Gaming Area.
A Weekend long game of Assassination! – (Yes, it’s actually going to happen!)
And more!
